In Case of Detention
A Legal guide in Arabic about arbitrary detention was developed and printed in collaboration with Alef organization. It aims to educate citizens about their rights in case of detention according to the standards that the Lebanese legislative system is bounded by.
Sexual Orientation & Gender identity Toolkit
SOGI training modules in Arabic (TOT kits) were tested by regional experts in gender and sexuality and printed. This toolkit aims at providing a comprehensive overview of all topics around sexual orientations & gender identities on the individuals and familial levels. This toolkit will soon be released in English.
Legal Guide About Article 534
A legal guide in Arabic about article 534 was developed and printed in collaboration with Helem organization and AFE (Arab Foundation For Freedom & Equality).
Male Survivors of sexual assault
A bilingual manual on forensic and clinical care for sexual violence survivor intended to contribute to the efforts by various stakeholders to address sexual violence was developed by Mosaic and technically reviewed by Marsa and ABAAD, and monitored and analyzed by our mental health advisor Pascale Kolakez.
This toolkit is the first of its kind and it aims at identifying and properly addressing cases of male sexual assaults
IMPACTS OF THE SYRIAN CIVIL WAR AND DISPLACEMENT ON SOGIESC POPULATIONS
In partnership with the UKRI GCRF Gender, Justice and Security Hub, MOSAIC is launching “IMPACTS OF THE SYRIAN CIVIL WAR AND DISPLACEMENT ON SOGIESC POPULATIONS” a research report that aims to examine the direct and indirect impacts of conflict and displacement in the context of the Syrian Civil War on persons of diverse SOGIESC both in Syria and in neighbouring countries, in particular, Lebanon and, to a lesser extent, Turkey.

تندُر حتى الآن الأبحاث المعمّقة حول آثار الحرب الأهلية السوية، وما رافقها من تهجير للأشخاص ذوي/ات التوجهات الجنسية، الهويات والتعبيرات الجندرية، والخصائص الجنسية المتنوعة، في كلّ من سوريا ولبنان وتركيا. يواجه هؤلاء الأفراد أشكالًا مختلفة من العنف المتواصل، الاستغلال، الإساءة، والتمييز بأساليب متعددة؛ من قبل جهات لا تحصى، بما فيهم أعضاء الأسرة، مدنيين/ات آخرين/ أخريات، قوى الأمن، الميليشيات والمجموعات المتطرفة – لكن أيضًا من قبل أشخاص آخرين من ذوي/ات التوجهات الجنسية، الهويات والتعبيرات الجندرية، والخصائص الجنسية المتنوعة. لقد تفاقمت آثار الحرب والتهجير نتيجة جائحة كوفيد-19، الأزمات الاقتصادية، كالأزمة السياسية المستمرة في لبنان، وتفجير مرفأ بيروت في الرابع من آب/ أغسطس 2020

. ولكن، و مع إنطلاق الثورة وانتشار وباء كورونا بعدها، وجريمة تفجير مرفأ بيروت وما تبعها من تأزّمات إقتصاديّة وإجتماعيّة ، قرّرنا تأجيل نشرها وها نحن اليوم، ورغم الأوضاع الراهنة، نصرّ على مشاركتكم/كنّ مخرجات هذه الدراسة ونأمل أن تكون التوصيات المدرجة داخلها مفيدة في سياق عملكم/كنّ المهنيّ و/أو على الصعيد الشخصيّ
We would like to share with you the outputs of this study under the title “Functional Chains or Social Obstacles”; a study on the difficulties of integrating sexual expression into professional practices in the field of disability.
This study was completed in 2019 with the support of the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF). However, with the rise of the Revolution, the spread of COVID-19 pandemic followed by the criminal bombing of Beirut’s port and the subsequent economic and social crises, we decided to postpone its publication.
And here we are today, despite the current situation, insisting on your participation in this study, and we hope that you will find the recommendations included in it useful, whether on a professional or personal level.
